The spring semester revolves around volunteer work in a youth village while being fully integrated into the community.
Youth Village
Participants are given the opportunity to work and live on a youth village for immigrant high school students.
Living accommodations include:
Two- to three- person dorm rooms
Shared bathrooms
Communal dining hall with the village residents
Moadon (common room) with TV/cable/DVD and wireless internet
While living in the youth village, Nativ participants become involved in all facets of daily life making a serious impact on struggling Israeli teenagers. Participants can volunteer in the following placements and roles:
Ganim (nursery schools)
Teaching English
Working in the schools
Laundry
Kitchen work
Afterschool programming
Gardening
Maintenance
Painting
Magen David Adom (volunteer ambulance service as a first responder for those who complete the course)
